Where is the starter motor located in the Volkswagen Golf?

In this video we can see where the starter motor is located in the Volkswagen Golf and how to proceed in case we need to replace it, a very simple operation. As shown, the starter motor is located in the lower front area of the engine, just below the air filter box. Before proceeding with disassembly, make sure the key is not inserted, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, remove the airbox and disconnect the power poles of the starter motor. Finally, unscrew the fixing bolts, separate it from the support and install the replacement.
