In this tutorial, you will learn how to adjust the handbrake in a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First, park the vehicle on a flat surface with the first gear engaged, then position yourself on the rear seat, lift the armrest, and remove the bottom of the glove compartment.

Next, unclip the rear air vents, remove the additional plastic cover, and locate the adjustment nut. At this point, using a long 10mm socket spanner, tighten the bolt until you achieve the desired lever tension.
