Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf 5, MK 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Oil filter
Operation: How to replace an engine oil filter on a Volkswagen Golf

How to replace the engine oil filter on a Volkswagen Golf? Let's see in this video how to proceed with the replacement: we lift the car on a column bridge and unscrew the pin of the oil pan, let the oil flow into a container (we tighten the pin at the end of the drain). With a strap wrench we unscrew the oil filter, extract it and place a new one, making it adhere well around the thread. We return the car to the ground, open the car door and pull up the engine compartment opening lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift up the front hood, secure the same, pull off the cap on the head of the engine and top up the liquid previously removed with the new oil.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
