The Water Leak Problem in the Boot of the Volkswagen Golf VII

The indicated area is one of the most common critical points for water ingress in the Golf VII and many other cars from the VAG group: typically, water collects in the spare wheel well, forming a proper puddle. The problem manifests more after heavy rain or a car wash. The main culprit is the air intake in the wheel arch: two ventilation grilles located in the boot, behind the rear wheel arch coverings, which serve to balance air pressure when the doors are closed. The foam seal between the air intake and the bodywork degrades and dries out, causing water that runs down the side window to enter the wheel arch and instead of exiting, it is diverted into the boot through this faulty seal. Drops can also often enter from the rear light bulb holder. Here too, the problem is caused by the seal that no longer holds. Less frequently, but worth checking, is the perimeter seal of the tailgate itself: if our car has a panoramic roof, check the water drainage channels, which can become blocked and cause leaks that run down to the boot.

How to Reset the Tyre Pressure Light on the Opel Grandland X

While driving, if you notice the tyre pressure warning light coming on, first check the actual inflation pressure of the tyres and, if necessary, restore the pressures recommended by the manufacturer. After restoring the correct pressures, you need to reset the warning light that has illuminated on the instrument cluster. To do this, locate the reset button on the lower central console.
