How to replace oil and filter on a Volkswagen Tiguan? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a strap wrench, unscrew the oil filter (remove the soundproofing panel of the engine) and install a new one. Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the bolt of the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Finally, top up with new fluid and close the front bonnet.
