Replace the Door Lock on Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Remove the door lock on a Golf 4. Dismantle the parts as per the guide. Disconnect the battery terminals located in the dedicated compartment. Remove the plastic cover above the internal handle, unscrew the screws inside and the screws above the panel. Use a lever to detach the retaining clips of the panel located in the door's bodywork. Remove the panel from the cabin. Unscrew the securing screws on the sides of the lock (inside the door), and disconnect the electrical connectors. Remove the damaged lock and fit a new one.
