Replacing Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter housing is located on the passenger side, just below the glove compartment, near the scuff plate. Remove the plastic cover secured with bayonet screws: once removed, you can access the housing and the snap-on cap: slide the cap back to release it, remove the old filter, clean any debris present, insert the new filter respecting the airflow direction, and reapply the cap ensuring it is correctly secured. Finally, reassemble the plastic cover.
