Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on a Volkswagen Beetle

Model: Volkswagen New Beetle MK 2, 9C - Years 1999-2012

Remove the central upper plastic cover near the windscreen, behind the central dashboard. To do this, you will need to hit the plastic so that it releases from the clips. Unscrew the two T20 torx bolts. At this point, use a plastic lever to detach the side plastic on the passenger side, also near the windscreen. There will also be T20 bolts to unscrew here, in this case, there are five. Once you reach this point, you can remove the plastic cover and access the pollen filter: take it out, clean the compartment, and insert the new filter.
