The first test you can perform to reset the light is to disconnect the two battery terminals to reset the vehicle's ECU; if this does not suffice for the reset, you will need to use a diagnostic tool connected to the vehicle's OBD port: this will allow us to scan for errors and proceed with resetting the engine warning light!
