Dismantling the Thermostat on a Volkswagen Golf 4 R32

In this video tutorial, you will find instructions on how to dismantle the thermostat of a fourth-generation Volkswagen Golf R32. First, open the bonnet and remove the air filter box, as well as disconnect and remove the battery; then remove the undertray and take off the radiator hose by loosening the clip. At this point, disconnect the various coolant hoses and unscrew the two long fixing screws, thus removing the thermostat and the cooling system, as illustrated in the video.
