How to Remove the Steering Wheel Airbag from a Volkswagen Polo

To remove the steering wheel airbag from a Volkswagen Polo, start by opening the bonnet to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery in the engine bay. Once disconnected, pry off the plastic covers surrounding the steering column directly behind the steering wheel. This will allow you to turn the steering wheel first to the right and then to the left, loosening the screws located at the back. Now the airbag will be free and can be removed from its housing by disconnecting the connectors inside.
