Replacement of Tappet Cups

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

First, generously lubricate the new tappet cups before inserting them into their respective valve control seats, apply the new bearings to the camshaft fixing brackets and their respective support seats on the cylinder head, lubricating them thoroughly; position the camshaft, place the fixing brackets and tighten the respective fixing pins both with the torque wrench and the graduated wrench, repeating the same steps in two stages. Then insert the side oil seal, install the toothed pulley, and align the timing references by locking the camshaft with the appropriate jig to install the timing belt. Next, proceed to install the valve lifters, lubricating them before positioning and making the necessary adjustments to the stroke. Finally, install the rocker cover with the new gasket.
