Replacement of Front Discs and Pads

Model: Volkswagen Golf MK 5, Golf 5, Golf V - Years 2003-2008
Part: Brake rotors

Lift the vehicle on a lift and remove the front wheel; disconnect the wear sensor connector, remove the protective cap from the caliper fastening bolts and unscrew them to remove the caliper; retract the caliper piston and remove the fastening bolts of the brake disc to take it off; clean any dirt from the disc seat on the hub and from the caliper support using a wire brush; use copper grease to lubricate the cleaned areas, wash the new disc to remove protective oil residues, and proceed in reverse by securing the disc to the hub, inserting the new pads, securing the brake caliper, and reconnecting the wear sensor; pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance and check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
