Replacing Front Brake Caliper

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Brake pads

Lift the vehicle on a car lift and remove the front wheel. Remove the side retaining spring, take off the protective caps from the caliper mounting pins, and detach the cable bracket and the brake line. Then, unscrew the caliper mounting pins to complete its removal, also taking out the brake pads. Transfer the mounting pins to the new caliper, insert the brake pads, and install the new caliper onto the bracket. Reconnect the cable bracket and brake line, then bleed the system using the appropriate valve to remove any air present in the circuit.
