Replacing Front Brake Discs and Pads

Model: Volvo S60 MK 1 - Years 2000-2009
Part: Brake rotors

Remove the front wheels and start by disconnecting the outer retaining spring on the caliper. Remove the protective caps from the caliper mounting pins and unscrew them to detach the caliper from its bracket. Compress the caliper piston using a channel lock pliers. Remove the caliper bracket and the disc mounting bolt from the hub. Clean the new disc of any protective oil residue, brush and lubricate the caliper bracket, caliper mounting pins, and the disc seat on the hub. Proceed with installing the new disc, the caliper bracket, insert the new pads, and finally attach the caliper while applying the spring. Before driving, pump the brake pedal and check the oil level in the reservoir.
