Operation: Replacing the tappet cover gasket

In order to easily access the tappet cover fixing pins, it is necessary to remove the passenger compartment air filter container which is located in the central position, immediately under the windscreen (the seals present must also be removed). At this point, remove the 4 caps on the plastic cover (they are located in the portion where the aluminum-colored strips are present), unscrew the screws below and remove the two covers (to extract the one where the filling cap of the engine oil, you must first unscrew the cap). Therefore, unhook the sockets connected to the spark plug pipettes and remove the pipettes themselves and the relative wiring; then unscrew the tappet cover fixing pins along its perimeter, remove the oil vapor recovery tube and remove the cover. Remove the old gasket from the lid; carefully clean the edges of the monobloc with which the lid is coupled; apply the new gaskets supplied with the kit (if necessary use grease to keep them in position during assembly), sprinkling the connection points with special mastic. Finally reposition the cover and proceed backwards for reassembly.
