How to Replace the Coolant Reservoir on a BMW 3 Series

Let's see how to replace the coolant reservoir on a BMW 3 Series. Open the car door and pull up the hood release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the hood. Remove the air filter near the reservoir. Empty the reservoir of any fluid present. Using a socket wrench or screwdriver, remove the mounting bolts. Disconnect the hoses from the reservoir (remove the part from inside the engine compartment). Install a new reservoir with the attached hoses and bolts, then refill the cooling system with new coolant. Close the hood after installation. Start the BMW and check its operation.
