Replacing a Flat Battery with a New One

Model: Chevrolet Cruze - Years 2000-2010

The battery is located in the engine bay. Open the engine cover and remove the air filter cover and the filter housing to access the battery. First, loosen the nut on the negative terminal and disconnect it from the battery. Next, loosen the nut on the positive terminal and remove it from the battery. Unscrew the nut located at the bottom of the battery to remove the retaining plate. Pull the battery out of its housing using the designated handles. Install the new battery and secure it properly with the screw and corresponding plate. Clean the battery terminals with sandpaper or a cloth. Position the terminal on the positive post, pushing it down firmly and tightening the securing nut. Repeat the same process with the negative terminal. Do not dispose of the flat battery in the environment; take it to the appropriate collection centres.
