To disassemble the EGR valve it is not essential to be very familiar, following our advice will be a job within everyone's reach. To begin with, we need to have access to the engine compartment. Here we remove the plastic protection of the engine, in the video a 1.6 Mtj, then we disconnect the brake vacuum hose and then the intake hose. Now we proceed to disassemble the throttle body, paying particular attention to the gaskets, disconnect the electrical wiring and remove the valve. Now we can proceed with the replacement or complete cleaning and checking of the valve itself.
