Disassembly of the Engine, Its Components, and Restoration

This guide shows all the parts of the engine, which will be disassembled gradually for restoration and to bring the small engine back to efficiency.
First, drain all the oil into a container, then proceed to remove the carburettor and the fuel pump. Next, using a 13 mm spanner, remove the distributor cap and finally the oil bulb.
Focus on the engine block, unscrew the nuts above the valve cover, remove it, and take off the nuts holding the head in place, using a lever if necessary.
At this point, marking the position of each, remove the pistons, then unscrew the bolts holding the flywheel and mark its position before removing it.
To remove the crankshaft pulley, unscrew the bolts from the cover, bend back the locking tab of the nut that secures it, and unscrew it with a pneumatic gun with a 32 mm socket.
Next, move to the timing system, first unscrewing the nuts on the cover. Before removing the pulley-chain block, bend back the tabs of the sheet metal, then remove the timing gear block and slide out the camshaft.
Now, move to the lower part of the engine. First, turn it over, unscrew the bolts of the oil sump, remove it, and slide out the oil pump pickup along with the metal spacer. It is important to note that the connecting rod and the body have corresponding numbers, which will be useful when reassembling.
Using a 13 mm spanner, unscrew the nuts of the connecting rods and slide them out one by one along with their respective pistons, without removing the bearings, then unscrew the corresponding bolts and slide out the crankshaft.
