How to replace the engine oil filter on a Ford Focus C-Max? Follow these steps for the replacement: lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the plug from the oil sump, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Lower the car to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the bonnet, securing it. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the oil filter, remove it, and fit a new one, ensuring it adheres well around the thread. Remove the cap on the engine head and top up with new oil.
