EGR Valve Cleaning Instructions

For the vehicle in question, removing the EGR valve is quite straightforward: the valve is located at the rear of the engine, just below the air filter housing; therefore, remove the air filter housing, unscrew the mounting bolts of the pipe connecting the valve to the intake and those securing the valve to the exhaust manifold (for removing one of these, the hammer and chisel technique is used in the video: if necessary, replace the damaged bolt) taking care with the gaskets. The video then shows the cleaning of the valve using a specific foam cleaner and subsequent functionality testing with a manual pump: it is suggested instead to first ensure the integrity of the valve's diaphragm, as if it is punctured, cleaning will be pointless. After washing the valve and verifying its functionality, reinstall it.
