How to Change the Engine Oil on the Ford Fusion North America Mk2

This guide shows how to perform an engine oil change on the Ford Fusion North America Mk2. After safely lifting the vehicle, unscrew the fasteners of the protective panel with a 4 mm hex wrench. Next, using a 15 mm wrench, unscrew the drain bolt from the oil pan and place a container for disposing of the used fluid. Unscrew the oil filter cartridge and let the remaining oil drain into the container. Clean any oil residue and install the new filter after filling it and lubricating the gasket. Reinstall the drain plug and lower the vehicle. Top off the engine oil to the correct amount and start the engine. Check the level and make any necessary top-offs. Reset the oil light by entering the vehicle's onboard computer menu.
