This guide shows how to change the engine oil on the Ford Fusion North America Mk2. After the vehicle has been safely raised, remove the cowl mounting bolts with a 4mm hex key. At this point, with a 15 mm wrench, unscrew the oil sump bleeder bolt and arrange a container for the disposal of the exhausted fluid. Unscrew the engine oil filter cartridge and let the remaining oil flow into the container. Clean the oil residues and install the new filter after filling it and lubricating the gasket. Refit the drain plug and lower the vehicle. Top up with the right amount of engine oil and start the engine. Check the level and top up if necessary. Reset the oil warning light by accessing the vehicle's on-board computer menu.
