How to solve the problem of wet footwell on Jaguar XK

Let's see how to solve the problem of the wet footwell in the Jaguar XK, caused by the obstruction of the infamous "duck bill". This is a slotted drain pipe that drains the condensation produced by the air conditioning system. This "bill" gets clogged with leaves, dirt, or simply gets stuck, due to its design, so the water, unable to flow out, flows back and leaks into the passenger's footwell, wetting the carpet. The most common and economical solution is to cut the bill, which is located in the engine compartment, on the passenger side, on the transmission tunnel. It is a black rubber tube that ends with a duck bill-shaped slot. With a cutter, simply cut off the end part, leaving the tube with a straight and free opening that cannot clog anymore. If the problem is not too severe, we can try closing all the air vents, setting the climate control to the minimum temperature and turning on the ventilation to the maximum for 5 minutes. The strong pressure "should" force open the clogged bill; the result is not guaranteed, but it costs nothing and can be tried. Otherwise, there is an original Jaguar replacement part with code C2P21646, which, to be replaced correctly, requires the removal of the entire dashboard (an extremely expensive operation).
