Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

To facilitate this maintenance, lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the splash shield from the bottom of the engine; then locate the drain plug on the oil pan (it is located on the side) and, after positioning a container to collect the used oil, unscrew the plug and proceed with the draining. Once the draining is complete, reattach the plug and reinstall the splash shield. Next, access the engine compartment to replace the oil filter cartridge: after removing the front part of the plastic engine cover, you will find the cap of the cartridge container; unscrew the cap, remove the old filter, and replace it with the new one, also changing the O-ring seals typically included in the filter kit (coat them with oil before reattaching). Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications indicated in the owner's manual.
