Nissan Qashqai - Video tutorial

Model: Nissan Qashqai J10 - Years 2006-2014
Part: Spark plugs
Operation: How to replace the spark plugs on a Nissan Qashqai

Unscrew the clamp holding the air hose with a No. 10. Disconnect the air intake hose from the air cleaner housing, and the elements connecting the throttle valve to the intake manifold, this time with a No. 8. Disconnect the clamp and remove the vacuum hose connector from the intake manifold, using long-nose pliers. With a socket wrench No. 10 unscrew the fastening elements of the intake manifold support bracket. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold, continuing to unscrew the fastening elements, again with the spanner n. 10. Now you can remove the manifold, completely unscrewed from its supports. It would be a prudent measure to cover the collector with a cloth, to prevent dust and dirt from getting inside. With a socket wrench No. 10 unscrew the ignition coil bracket. Remove the coil and clean the spark plug housing with compressed air. Repeat for each candle. With a socket wrench No. 16 unscrew the candles. Remove the spark plugs (it would be best to use a telescopic magnet). Apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of new spark plugs. Treat the ends of the new spark plugs with silicone grease. Now place them in their mounting locations. Screw them in and tighten them with the socket wrench No. 16 already used before. If you have the possibility, use a torque wrench to tighten them, with a torque of 25 Nm. To avoid tightening them too much, damaging the thread. Now reinstall the ignition coil in the spark plug housing, making sure you hear the "click" of correct tightening. Tighten all ignition coil fasteners with a No. 10. and if you can tighten them with the torque wrench up to 9 Nm. Now reinstall the intake manifold by tightening all the fastening elements, again with spanner no. 10. With the torque wrench, the tightening is 15 Nm. We advise you to take the opportunity to change the gasket of the manifold itself. Now reinstall the manifold support bracket, with the same parameters: key n. 10, torque 15 Nm. Connect the vacuum hose to the intake manifold, tighten the clamp with long nose pliers, install the throttle valve on the intake manifold, and tighten the fasteners with the # 1 wrench. 8, twist 16 Nm. Reconnect all hoses to their connectors and the air intake hose to the air filter housing. Connect all the terminals. To make sure the job has been done correctly, run the engine for a few minutes.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
