This message is a scheduled maintenance warning, which is not necessarily related to engine oil: it can indicate the expiry of the maintenance interval, the inspection of components (spark plugs, filters, brake fluid, etc.) or minor issues, such as a burnt-out bulb or a drop in injector efficiency.

In fact, the system does not only monitor the oil. In the video, the issue was, for example, related to faulty glow plugs.

Other common triggers include the particulate filter, a weak battery, or general wear, such as brakes or coolant. Some models allow us to view the details of the warning; otherwise, an OBD2 tool can help identify the specific problem.

How to reset the tyre pressure warning light on the Kia Niro EV?

To reset the tyre pressure warning light on the Kia Niro EV, inflate the tyres until they reach the correct pressure value. This value is indicated on the sticker attached to the driver's door pillar. Once the tyres are inflated, turn on the instrument cluster to check that the warning light has completely disappeared from the display. If it is still present, you may need to drive for a few miles to ensure it disappears completely from the screen.
