Engine Check with Oil and Filter Change

Model: Peugeot 406 MK 1 - Years 1995-2005

Remove the engine cover. Lift the front of the car and secure it. For the oil change, place a bowl under the sump and unscrew the cap to let the oil drain. Use a screwdriver and hammer to puncture the oil filter and remove it from its housing. Replace the gasket and close the oil cap. Clean thoroughly, lubricate the gasket of the new filter, and refit it in its housing. Remove the cap from the cylinder head and top up with new oil to the quantity specified by the manufacturer, then check the level. For the fuel filter change, disconnect the connector and, using a screwdriver and hammer, force the opening by unscrewing it counterclockwise. Remove the cover and pull out the filter. Position the new filter and close the cover, reconnecting the connector. Start the engine.
For the air filter replacement, unscrew the filter cover, remove the filter, start the engine, and spray EGR fluid into the intake duct at intervals. Install a new filter and close the cover. For the pollen filter replacement, open the air intake compartment under the windscreen, remove the filter, and fit a new one.
