The YouTuber suspected that the fault, which occurred after a long journey, could be due to the recirculation valve. First, he explains the theoretical characteristics of a turbocharged engine; but what happens when we change gear or lift our foot off the accelerator? The throttle body closes, but the turbocharger continues to spin, forcing air into a closed system, and this is where the recirculation valve operates, opening to allow excess air to flow back through the intake, creating a balanced closed air circuit.

The recirculation valve is membrane-operated, and the membrane can break, allowing air to pass even when it should be closed, during acceleration, leading to insufficient compressed air reaching the inlet valve, resulting in a decrease in performance.

The basic tools needed for the job are shown, and the bonnet is opened.

The recirculation valve is located just below the air intake pipe coming from the filter, which is advisable to remove first for better access; disconnect the electrical connector, loosen the metal bracket, detach the rear cable, and remove the intake air pipe, then use a ratchet to remove the three bolts holding the recirculation valve.
