Removing the Engine Cylinder Head
Model: RAM 2500
DC, MK 3, D1, DR, DH, DM
- Years 2002-2009
The following video diagnoses a problem with a sticking valve and low compression in the engine. To begin, disconnect the battery. Remove the throttle assembly, intake hose, and exhaust gas recirculation hose. From the images, note that the left valve cover has already been removed. Disconnect the injector connectors by first lowering the red tab and then pressing the black tab. Using a special pliers, disconnect the fuel line. Remove the intake manifold by disconnecting the injector connectors on the other side as well. Now remove the alternator and the air conditioning compressor to gain more access to the engine. Proceed by removing the front wheel well on the passenger side. After removing the wheel, start disassembling the exhaust manifold. Remove the pushrods and rocker arms, placing them in order exactly as you removed them from the engine. Now loosen the cylinder head bolts and carefully extract the head, possibly with the help of another person. Car model: Dodge RAM 5.7 V8 Year: 2006

Installation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes
Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille. by ScegliAuto More videos
