Steering Wheel Knock Issue on Renault Talisman

A knock like the one heard in the video, during the rotation of the steering wheel on the Renault Talisman, can be caused by a problem with the shock absorbers if it is felt during cornering or over bumps, especially at low speed, due to wear of the anti-roll bar bushes or the steering shock absorber mounts. A rhythmic "click" when cornering (more pronounced when the steering is fully locked) can be caused by wear on the CV joints. If the knock is dull when turning the steering wheel, especially when the vehicle is stationary, and there are also hydraulic fluid leaks, then the problem is wear of the internal bearings of the rack. Vibrations and noises during steering, especially under acceleration, can be caused by engine mounts; metallic noise over bumps or tight corners, with soft and imprecise steering, is caused by worn control arm bushes or depleted shock absorbers.
