Subaru Legacy - Video tutorial

Model: Subaru Legacy BL, BP, MK 4 - Years 2003-2009
Part: Air conditioning
Operation: How to disassemble Subaru Legacy air conditioning compressor

In this video we will explain how to remove the air conditioning of a Subaru Legacy. We open the bonnet and put it in safety, then, we detach the plastic rivets and we remove the air intake as in the video. With a suitable socket wrench we go to disassemble the plates that block the radiator in the upper part, then we lift the car on a column bridge and we disassemble the water hose at the bottom as illustrated. We disassemble the horizontally placed coil of the radiator with the help of pliers, immediately afterwards with a wrench we unscrew the large sleeve from the top of the car. Once free from screws and pipes we can extract the fan kit from the engine compartment. Once we have reached this point, unscrew the pins on the base of the engine compartment, freeing the radiator from it, then, disassemble it and slide it off. We unscrew the air conditioning compressor with attached belt, compare it with the new one and check that it works correctly as in the video. Let's get ready to mount the piece in the engine compartment, connect the straps, clamps and tighten well with a socket wrench. We mount the new radiator on the metal bar with all the pins and various pipes, we connect the fan kit with its sleeves. We reassemble all the protections on the compressor and alternator that we previously removed, the plastics and the front grille. Finally we purge the air from the refrigeration system.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
