How to change the engine oil and filter on a Toyota Iq? Start by opening the car door and pulling up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the bonnet; remove the cap on top of the engine. Lift the car on a jack (or column lift) and use a socket spanner to undo the large securing bolt of the container where the oil filter is located (remove the worn oil filter) and fit a new one. Undo the bolt on the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Finally, top up with new fluid (check the level with the dipstick) and close the bonnet.
