Dashboard and Air Conditioning Disassembly

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005
Part: Air conditioner

Only perform this disassembly if you have the proper tools and good familiarity, as it is practically necessary to remove the dashboard and much of the interior. Start by removing the steering column, the radio, and the air conditioning controls; proceed with the centre console, the glove compartment, all the dashboard mounting pins, the trim mouldings of the front pillars, disconnect various wiring, and then extract the dashboard from the cabin. Continue with the disassembly of the dashboard support until finally removing the air conditioning module.
