Oil Filter Replacement on a Volkswagen Up.

Model: Volkswagen Up MK 1 - Years 2011-2024

Position your car, in this case a Volkswagen Up, on a ramp or a flat surface to work safely and stably to ensure your safety (this precaution should be taken whenever performing maintenance on a vehicle). Now, open the front bonnet by pulling the lever located at the bottom left of the driver's seat. Open the cap of the oil filler neck. Lift the front of the car using a jack and secure it with supports. Locate the bolt that seals the oil drain hole and, after placing a container underneath, unscrew it and let all the oil drain out. Re-screw the bolt. Find the position of the oil filter (located between the radiator and the engine block) and, using the appropriate spanner, unscrew it and replace it with a new one. Pour new engine oil into the designated filler neck. And that's it!
