How to Change the Radio in the Volkswagen Golf 7

To replace the radio in the Volkswagen Golf 7, follow these steps: Start by using a plastic wedge to remove the trim around the climate controls, prying it off from the bottom and gradually pulling it away; now remove the trim covering the radio using a plastic wedge at the sides and top, also extracting the air vents and moving it aside. Insert the original keys into the designated holes to extract the radio; once the keys are in place, pull out the radio by disconnecting the connectors. Now you can remove the air vents by prying from the back with a plastic wedge and take off the trim. Inside the new radio packaging, you will find the new central fascia, various connectors with cables, the GPS antenna, and the new radio. Now take the new GPS antenna, position it behind the hazard light button, connect all the connectors, and route the connectors to install the USB ports in the glove compartment. Next, route the reverse camera wires from the back (in the number plate holder) to the back of the radio. Once all cables are routed and connectors are attached, fit the radio into its slot, attach the trim around the air vents from the previous trim to the new one, secure the trim around the radio, and fix the panel for the climate controls. The operation is complete, and you can test the radio.
