Let's see how to proceed in case we are forced to replace the front headlight assembly of the Volkswagen Passat due to a malfunction or breakage. We open the engine hood and position ourselves in front of the headlight to be replaced. Using a Torx key, we unscrew the six screws that secure the upper bracket of the headlight, and repeat the same operation with the other headlight. Once this is done, we can detach the central grille. Now, we unscrew a screw that secures the headlight near the wheel arch and another screw between the headlight and the radiator. We disconnect the electrical connector and can then free the assembly from its housing. We replace it with the new one and reassemble everything by following the reverse steps.
