Replacing the Headlight of the Volkswagen Passat

Here’s how to proceed if you need to replace the front headlight unit of the Volkswagen Passat due to a fault or breakage. Open the bonnet and position yourself in front of the headlight to be replaced. Using a Torx key, unscrew the six screws securing the upper bracket of the headlight, and repeat the same operation with the other headlight. Once done, detach the central trim, unscrew a screw that secures the headlight near the wheel arch and another between the headlight and the radiator. Disconnect the electrical connector and you can now free the unit from its housing, replace it with the new one, and reassemble everything in reverse order.
