How to Reset the Service Light on the 2021 BMW X1

The service interval for the BMW X1 must be performed between 12,427 and 18,640 miles. The service includes: engine oil and oil filter change, fluid level checks, brake, tire, and suspension checks, cabin air filter replacement, and inspection of spark plugs and timing belt. To reset the maintenance light, turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Wait for the display to fully illuminate and press and hold the trip odometer reset button located on the left side of the cluster for about 10 seconds. The service menu will appear on the display; briefly press the button to navigate through the various options. When the "Maintenance" option appears with the oil light symbol next to it, press reset and hold the button until the display shows "Reset Completed". Release the button and restart the ignition to confirm and complete the procedure.
