Part: Timing belt
Operation: How to remove the timing belt in a Dacia

Removing the timing belt is a long and extremely complex operation, requiring professional tools and dexterity, as we shall see. First raise the car; then open the radiator vent, locate the connecting pipe under the car and remove the plastic covers. Let all the coolant flow out with the help of a compressor. Check the quality of the coolant. Remove the wheel and the front right wheel arch. Identify the various connecting pipes. Disconnect the battery. A battery charger is recommended in order not to lose the charge. From the hood disconnect the cooling connections to the engine and remove the engine cover. Check the position of the timing sprocket under the car and measure it with a caliper. Remove the bolt that connects the wheel to the drive belt, remove the belt. Unscrew the engine mounts. Removed the supports we will finally see the timing belt, it is important to take a reference point so that the movement of the belt is synchronized. We loosen the connecting sprocket bolts and remove it, finally we can remove the timing belt. The water pump will now be removed and must be replaced when the timing belt is changed.

How do you adjust the clutch cable on the Kia Picanto?

To be able to adjust the clutch cable of the Kia Picanto you need to open the hood so that you have access to the components inside the engine compartment: in order to reach the cable you will need to remove some components on the right side, such as the battery and the air filter. Below them you will find the clutch cable, which will have to be adjusted by screwing or loosening the bolt placed at the end of the cable. This will make the pedal harder or softer; after the adjustment, it will be possible to assemble all the components by closing the hood.
