How to Perform a Service and Reset the Service Light on a Ford C-Max

Before starting the reset procedure for the service light on the Ford C-Max, ensure a complete service is carried out at an authorised workshop. A complete service includes: removing and topping up engine oil, changing the oil filter, changing the air filter, checking brakes, and much more. Start by removing the oil cap and take off the tube that blocks access to the oil filter. Next, remove the oil sump located under the car and let the old oil drain out. Once the oil has finished draining, replace the sump. Now, add the new oil and change the corresponding filter. Just like the oil filter, also change the air filter. Check all other components of the car and reassemble what you have removed. Now, proceed to remove and replace the cabin filter. The filter is located under the glove compartment, so you will need to unscrew the two clips before you can remove it. Once you have completed the service, move on to resetting the service light. To reset, turn on the instrument panel and simultaneously press the brake and accelerator pedals for about 60 seconds. When the light goes out, it means the reset was successful.
