How to Replace the Clutch on a Ford Focus

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018

To replace the clutch on a Ford Focus, first open the bonnet and then use an 8 mm hex key to remove the screws on the air filter box cover. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the air flow meter and remove the retaining clip. Once the car battery is disconnected by removing the terminals, you can extract it by removing the two 10 mm nuts on the support bracket. Now, focus on the clutch area. First, disconnect the gear linkage from the cable supports and the ball joint. Remove the heat shield from the catalytic converter by unscrewing the nuts and also remove the catalytic converter's retaining ring. Once the obstructing parts are removed from the engine bay, lift the car to remove the engine cover to completely take out the catalytic converter. Also, remove the driveshaft from the gearbox side and take out all the clutch bolts. Once removed, proceed to replace the release bearing and hydraulic pump using a 10 mm socket. Remove the clutch disc and replace it with a new one. Then, begin reassembling the disassembled parts by following the reverse procedure.
