This guide explains how to replace the timing belt on the Ford Focus model 3. The correct timing belt for this vehicle is "CT1162WP2". Start the replacement by removing the starter motor, engine mount, Poly-V belt, and tensioner. When removing the starter motor, it is advisable to insert a plastic tool to lock the rear flywheel, making it easier to loosen the pulley.

Next, remove the pulley and the engine support bearing, then take off the timing belt cover. After that, re-tighten the engine mount bolt and unscrew the bolts for the belt drive to finally remove it. Now, proceed with the replacement.

Insert the new belt and fit the drive, then install the pulley and bearing, tighten the pulley, and reassemble the starter motor.
