Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: Jaguar X-Type MK 1 - Years 2001-2009

The cabin air filter is located in the engine compartment, just below the windscreen. To replace it, you need to remove the plastic trim grille located just under the windscreen, also disassembling the wiper arms. Start by applying a piece of masking tape on the windscreen to mark the angle of the wipers, lift the cover that conceals the nut securing the arms, and after unscrewing the nut, you may need a puller to extract it from the splines of the control arm. At this point, remove the pressure clips securing the plastic grille to access the filter housing. Extract the old filter, clean the housing, and insert the new one, then reverse the process for reassembly.
