Effects of Low-Quality Oil on the Ingenium Engine of a Land Rover Evoque

In this video, we see the catastrophic effects of low-quality oil or incorrect viscosity on the delicate Ingenium engine of a Land Rover: for this engine, Castrol Edge Professional LL-FE 0W20 (JLR approved), Total Quartz INEO Long Life 5W-30, and Motul Specific 5W-30 are recommended. Oil change intervals should not exceed 10,000 to 15,000 miles or one year, regardless of what Land Rover states: if driving frequently in the city, do not exceed 7,500 miles. As shown in the video, Ingenium engines are very sensitive to poor maintenance, risking premature wear of the turbocharger and bearings; clogging of the DPF: it is known that low-quality oils release sulfate ash that clogs the particulate filter, leading to frequent regenerations and damage to the lambda sensor; the formation of sludge seen in the video, caused by low-quality oils; damage to variable valve timing; excessive oil consumption. Indeed, Ingenium engines tend to "consume" oil under normal conditions, so they must be monitored very carefully.
