Installing Engine Air Filter from Competition

Open the rear hood and ensure it is securely supported. Then, remove the original engine air filter housing by disconnecting the connector from the mass air flow sensor, the hose connected to the throttle body, the engine oil fill tube, and the corresponding mounting screws. At this point, it is necessary to replace the support bracket for the secondary air pump to move it closer to the frame and create more space for the intake cone housing. Remove the original bracket and replace it with the one included in the kit: on the vehicle frame, you can find a 10 mm and a 13 mm bolt for mounting. Next, install the protective cover for the auxiliary belts by first attaching the corresponding support brackets to the existing bolts on the engine block. Once the cover installation is complete, attach the silicone hose to the throttle body, securing it with the appropriate clamp, then connect the intake hose to its supports and attach the intake cone. Finally, insert the mass air flow sensor, connect the corresponding plug, secure the wiring with zip ties, and attach the engine oil fill tube to its support.
