Replacement of Engine Air Filter with K&N Model

Model: Porsche 911 996 - Years 1997-2005

Disconnect the connector attached to the mass air flow sensor, loosen the clamp on the hose connected to the throttle body, and unscrew the screws securing the engine air filter housing and remove it. First, apply a gasket along the edge of the support bracket for the new filter, provided with the installation kit, place it in the seat of the old filter, and mark the points where to drill holes to secure it to the vehicle's frame. Once the bracket is secured, attach the silicone hose to the edge of the throttle body, securing it with a metal clamp, and connect the new intake duct to the hose (the mass air flow sensor will already be attached to the duct to which the original connector will be connected). Finally, install the intake cone.
