How to change the engine oil and filter of the Renault Clio.

The oil and filter change on the Renault Clio is carried out by securing the car on a flat surface, with the wheels blocked and using appropriate supports if working elevated. Before draining, bring the engine to a moderate temperature and then turn it off, so the oil drains better. Open the filler cap and, if accessible, remove the dipstick to facilitate drainage. Position a large container under the oil pan and unscrew the drain plug, allowing the oil to completely flow out; clean the area, check the seal of the plug, and replace the washer if required, then close it, tightening to the torque specified by the manufacturer.

Next, move on to the oil filter. Depending on the engine, it may be accessible from the top or the bottom: unscrew it with the appropriate tool, let it drain, and clean the seating area. On the new filter, lubricate the gasket with a thin layer of oil and screw it on until it makes contact, completing the tightening by hand according to the filter's instructions. Then fill with new oil of the grade and specifications indicated in the manual, start the engine for a few seconds, and check for any leaks from the plug and filter. Turn it off, wait a few minutes, and adjust the level with the dipstick until it reaches the correct value.
