How do you replace the engine oil filter on Volkswagen New Beetle? Follow this guide for the replacement: open the car door and lift the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then raise the bonnet and secure it. Using a chain spanner, undo the large housing (where the oil filter is located). Remove the engine soundproofing panel to access the filter and extract the worn filter; position a new one. Lift the car on a jack and undo the plug of the oil sump; drain the fluid into a container. Finally, top up with new fluid and close the bonnet.
