First, let's disconnect the battery. The valve is located on the engine side, connected to the exhaust pipe and the intake manifold.

Remove the rigid tube secured with two nuts, one M12 at the front and one M8 at the back; once the two nuts are loosened, move the tube without forcing it; disconnect the electrical connector. If the EGR is water-cooled, disconnect the two coolant hoses (we will need to prepare a container to collect the liquid that will come out). Unscrew the mounting bolts, and from the space we have created, we can now pull the valve out of its seat.

Clean the mounting seat of the manifold from carbon residues and install the new valve, retracing all the previous steps. Finally, top up the coolant (if necessary), reconnect the battery, and start the engine, checking for any leaks.

We will also need to reset the error in the ECU with an OBD2 diagnostic tool.
