How to replace the engine oil and filter on a Mercedes C-Class? Let's see in this guide how to proceed with the replacement: open the car door and pull up the hood release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the hood, securing it. Using a socket wrench, remove the large retaining bolt of the container cap (where the oil filter is located). Remove the air filter kit to access the filter and extract the worn oil filter. Raise the car with a lift and remove the bolt from the oil pan (remove the protective panel); let the fluid drain into a container. Finally, top off with new fluid and close the hood.
